Telephone Interpreting

Sometimes you need to speak with a customer, supplier or official in another language right now, without arranging a visit. PLG Translation provides telephone interpreting: an interpreter joins your call and passes each side’s words to the other in real time.

When telephone interpreting is useful

• Short business calls with partners or suppliers abroad.
• Urgent questions to customers, hotels, clinics or service providers.
• Follow-up calls after a meeting or negotiation.
• Situations where no interpreter can be on site.

What to prepare

• Language pair and topic: tell us the languages and the subject so we can assign a suitable interpreter.
• A clear line: a stable connection and a quiet place make the call easier for everyone.
• Key terms and names: sending names, product terms or a short agenda in advance helps accuracy.
• Short turns: speaking in short sentences and pausing lets the interpreter keep up.

How it works

1. Tell us the languages, topic, date and time.
2. Receive a quote and confirmation of the interpreter.
3. The call: the interpreter joins at the agreed time.
4. Follow-up if you need a written summary or translation afterwards.
